January 2022: Students meet Nobel Prize laureate

鈥淪tudents meet Nobel Prize laureate鈥 is a conversation format organized by Nobel Prize Outreach, bringing together a group of 15 undergraduate and graduate science students from all over the world to discuss with a Nobel Prize laureate on being a scientist.

The latest edition was recorded digitally in late January 2022. It featured Arthur B. McDonald, Nobel Prize in Physics 2015. Three young scientists from 乌鸦传媒 were able to participate in this discussion.

November 2021: Nobel Prize Dialogue “United by Science”

United by Science brought science students from throughout Latin America and the Caribbean into conversation with Nobel Prize laureates to explore how science and scientists can most effectively make a positive impact on society. By bringing together young people, the initiative aims to inspire the next generation of scientists to work together, among themselves and with the rest of society, to use science to tackle the big challenges ahead.

The region does not lack challenges 鈥 climate change, inequality, and political instability, as well as the devastation caused by Covid-19. The 80 undergraduate and graduate students representing almost every country in the region were invited to focus on issues that included the responsibilities of the scientist; the power of collaboration; strategies for building bridges with policy makers and society in general; and the wider societal implications of these themes.聽
