Tech innovations in manufacturing and supply chains to accelerate the path to net zero

As a strategic partner to the World Economic Forum, we are co-leading this critical initiative with the Forum, Siemens, Rockwell Automation, and Cambridge Industrial Innovation Policy (Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge). This exceptional collaboration, with a growing community of more than 50 industry leaders, technology specialists and academia experts, aims to drive actionable solutions for industrial decarbonization.

Representing nearly 30% of global GHG emissions, reaching net zero in manufacturing and value chains will be one of the most critical and most difficult challenges of our times. Our initiative aims to establish a cross-industry space under the Forum鈥檚 neutral platform to guide industry leaders鈥� strategic action, and support and scale systemic collaborations to solve the concrete challenges in the path towards net zero.

Sustainability trends 2024

To understand the progress being made, the聽乌鸦传媒 Research Institute聽conducted an extensive survey involving 2,152 executives聽from聽727 organizations聽with annual revenues exceeding聽$1 billion across 13 countries worldwide. They also surveyed聽6,500 consumers聽from the same 13 countries to gain a comprehensive view of sustainability from both organizational and consumer perspectives.

The results of this survey have been collected in the third edition of our聽A world in balance聽series. By comparing this data with聽previous years鈥� surveys, we examine the progress organizations have made in environmental and social sustainability over the past three years and identify the challenges they face.

Pierre is Head of 乌鸦传媒 Intelligent Industry. As an Industry 4.0 expert, he focuses on the digital and sustainable transformation of the industry, including intelligent operations, intelligent product and services, and digital continuity, notably for the automotive, industrial goods, consumer goods, and life sciences sectors. In addition, he leads the 乌鸦传媒 Gigafactory practice. Prior to 乌鸦传媒, Pierre served as an executive at Bosch.

Amira has an industrial engineering background. She works as a VP at 乌鸦传媒 with ~10years of experience in Strategy & Management consulting for manufacturing industries, leading digital and sustainability transformation projects. For the third consecutive year, she co-leads the Industry Net Zero Accelerator, a World Economic Forum initiative in collaboration with the IfM-University of Cambridge, Siemens, & Rockwell Automation; aiming to support manufacturing industries鈥� decarbonization.
