DigiGirlz 鈥 the importance of digital inclusion

In celebration of w膩hine toa (strong, empowered women) in sport and in the world of tech, on Saturday 22 October, 乌鸦传媒 and Microsoft partnered to run a DigiGirlz day in Whangarei in New Zealand鈥檚 Northland (Te Tai Tokerau).

The event was specifically offered to female-identifying students (years 9鈥13), designed to encourage students who may never have considered a career in tech to find out more and see all the future career opportunities that exist for them. The day comprised of hands-on tech showcases, stories, and panels for approximately 50 schoolgirls. The day culminated with all the girls attending the Black Ferns vs. Scotland match!

This initiative supports 乌鸦传媒鈥檚 commitment to creating inclusive cultures and building diverse workforces, and its drive to have women representing 40% of its total workforce (currently 35.8%) by 2025.
